Hampton Inn & Suites Danville at 370 Eastgate Drive, Danville, Illinois.

We called Hampton reservations and paid over the phone for a one night stay on September 29, 2017. We arrived and spent the night and found the hotel to be decent, but not up to the standards we had come to expect for Hampton. When we got our credit card bill we saw that in addition to the charge from the reservation desk, the Danville hotel had charged us a second time. We immediately called Danville and explained the situation. Whoever answered the phone said that the manager would have to straighten it out and that she was not there but would call us the next day. The manager never called so we had to deal with Hampton corporate and it took two calls and a three week wait for them to send us a check. We will never stay at this hotel again and we are questioning our long time preference for Hampton. A double charge and a manager who refuses to call back (or an employee who fails to pass messages to the manager) and a three week wait for a refund is what you might expect from a shady roadside motel but not from the Hilton group. In the future we will explore other options.

Normally I am pretty forgiving and not inclined to post negative reviews but this was gross. Scheduled a work trip for two co-workers Wednesday/Thursday in April 2018. One of the rooms had bed bugs. Front desk did not seem particularly concerned or surprised.
